The EU Ecolabel, a label green that rewards quality

What is the EU Ecolabel?

Of the products or services offered, it is analyzed the environmental impact during their entire life cycle (LCA, Life Cycle Assessment), taking into account the reusability, recyclability and reduction of packaging. With the introduction of this certification, the European Union decided to promote the circular economy and reduce the production of waste and CO2 aiming at the achievement oftarget 12 of the Agenda 2030, that is, “To ensure sustainable patterns of production and consumption”.

Who can submit a request for acquisition of the certification?

The brand Ecolabel may be required from producers, importers, service providers and wholesalers who place their products or services on the market in the EEA (European Union, Liechtenstein, Norway and Iceland).

The advantages

The certification allows the applicants to increase their visibility and competitiveness in the market, in addition to being a statement dellthe companies ‘ commitment towards the well-being and safety of its employees and for the environment. Get this “eco” label also means being able to show more easily than in the past, their efficiency in terms of sustainable investments to tender, to become more and more green. For the contracting authority, in fact, the possession of the brand, the EU Ecolabel may be a policy to reward offer.
