Integrated services, energy efficiency, waste collection door to door in the assets of the intervention.
Environment, Needs, Consumption, Future, Innovation, Network. It is not a book of dreams. Are the key words in the center of the activities and the daily operations of the Ariete, and Navita, the only two companies from puglia present within the area of smart city was located in the new pavilion at the Fiera del Levante in Bari for the XXXIII meeting of the ANCI. On one side we have the Ariete, a player on the market of integrated services and operations to improve energy efficiency, with its 1500 women and men is the ideal partner in an increasingly demanding market that asks for expertise, efficiency, technological innovation, environmental sustainability and cost reduction.
On the other hand, in the wake of the sustainability and protection of the environment through the recovery, transformation and valorization of the waste we find, instead, Navita, which operates in the sector of services for the environment and waste management, with services customized for the collection, transport, recovery, enhancement and urban waste similar to municipal, hazardous and toxic.
To discover these two realities, the idea is that it starts from the ABC, that is, from foundations, from what is the work they do for the environment, understood as the macrosystem in which you are going to develop and carry out different actions of the intervention. Here “A” is, in addition to the Environment, for Sustainability, Reuse and Recycling. “B” is, in addition to Needs, for the Economy, Services and Participation; “C” instead of, in addition to Consumption is for Containment, Efficiency and Monitoring.
ARIETE
Founded in 1993 as a company of services in the field of hygiene and environmental sanitation, Ariete is able to jointly provide services to management and maintenance of buildings, engineering works, energy, road maintenance and green, concierge service, reception and security guard unarmed, ausiliariato and logistical support. With over 1500 men and women which constitute the main force, the more than 4 thousand square meters of warehouses and offices, with the tools of advanced information and a team of professionals, which guarantees high quality standard thanks to the continuous training, the Ariete is a solid company, and reliable you can rely on for all of the activities of facility management. What are the advantages? Soon said: organizational, operational and financial, such as, for example, simplification of procedures, streamlining functional heritage in the context of an increase in its value; achievement and maintenance of outcomes and levels of performance, monitoring and reduction of the costs of the P. From April 2010 to September 2016 Ariete has been a partner of the Municipality of Modugno, offering his services to the maintenance of the facilities, buildings, green areas, and streets, road signs, concierge, bell boy, custody, reception, and removals for all municipal buildings or operated by the municipality. The demands of maintenance, from the first year of activity until the closing of the contract, are descended from 803 of the 2010 to 237 of 2016 thanks to the management of the routine maintenance that can prevent and decrease the need for interventions outside the canon, thus, saving for the P. A. of more than 338mila euro overall, for a 13,52% total. The interventions were performed with 93% of requests with urgency or immediacy. The sectors of intervention were: construction (34%), the works water-drainage system (16%), porter (3%), activities in the electricity sector (17%), anti-intrusion and fire (respectively 4%), public parks (11%), roads (9%), and finally porter (2%).
In addition to great facilities and Common Ariete is responsible for the integrated management of services in two of the flagships of the city of Bari: the Polytechnic, one of the south with 9.752 students and the university residence Fraccacreta.

With a project in project financing and investment 1milione800mila euro, Ariete has obtained from the 1st of June last, a concession for 18 years in the real estate management integrated and computerized services, energy, maintenance, housekeeping and concierge of real estate. Seven locations of activities for a total of 29 complexes and more than 100 thousand square meters of surface. Three of the assets of intervention: technical services with the design of the improvement actions and plans maintenance (electrical, sewage, heating, fire protection, cogeneration and solar cooling); reception services, concierge services and care; services to people with housekeeping and porterage inside/outside. But it is on the improvement actions and the energy efficiency that you are playing in the big game of this challenge. With the construction of photovoltaic plants with a total power of 504.00 inc. all kW and production of 699.170 kWh/year, is to increase the efficiency, control and monitoring of electrical systems using network analyzers and those heat through counters energy; and the replacement of fluorescent lamps with LED lamps, the estimated normalization of consumption and a reduction of expenditure to the regime.
NAVITA
Born about five years ago, Navita work in the field of urban and environmental hygiene. It deals with the management of waste and environmental services assisting their customers in the correct management of waste and helping to reduce the environmental impact with a progressive increase in the quantity and quality of recovered materials. In addition, with its offices, to support qualified the customer in the performance of all the bureaucratic procedures required by regulations.
The winner of the tender for the management of waste in the Aro Ba 2 (Scope of the optimal harvesting of Bari 2, which includes the towns of Modugno, Bitetto, Bitonto, Bitritto, Binetto, Sannicandro di Bari, Palo del Colle), Navita is in charge of the municipalities of Modugno (lead) and Bitetto. And it is precisely from Modugno launched its green revolution in defense of the environment and to manage door-to-door collection of waste, with the objective of reaching a percentage of differentiated 65% within two years.
Party on the 1st of August the new collection system door-to-door scored after just two months, a percentage of differentiated higher than the 56% with a concomitant reduction is equal to 2/3 of the mixed waste sent to disposal in a landfill. Data related to the budget generally spent by the administration as a cost for waste disposal have resulted in a savings of approximately 130 thousand euros per month.
In the system of collection, dedicated to both households to non domestic users, are monitored separately for the following types of waste:
- waste damp and organic;
- paper, packaging paper and policcoppiati cellulose;
- cardboard for the utilities commercial
- plastic, aluminum cans and tin cans;
- glass packaging;
- dry residual undifferentiated;
- textile health care (diapers, and incontinence pads);
- wood, metal, WEEE, and a list of almost infinite materials.
With his team, as well as that of the waste collection door to door, the company is also in charge of sweeping and scrubbing of public land, the management of the centers of the municipal waste collection services of urban health, complementary and/or optional (the pest control, cleaning of animal waste, removal of carcasses of animals, syringes, etc.), communication and information activities on the environment. With Navita the waste has a path traced from the source ensures the monitoring of the various stages of transfer, collection, transport and treatment/disposal. The new system provides a combination of each container to each family and business users, which is labeled with a tag for instant reading and charging time. Thanks to its communication activities, training courses in schools, training sessions for the operators of the collection, applications for the citizen to enable him to obtain information, to send reports, book on-demand services and receive news and updates.
